WHY CRAZY CAT CYCLERY?
Crazy Cat’s Cycling Analysis service is the most comprehensive system used to join the rider and bike together. Our method has been designed and scientifically tested to maximize power, aerodynamics, endurance and comfort. We use DartFish 7, a video capturing program synched with two high-speed cameras. Cameras are set for the frontal view and lateral view of the rider for precise angle measurements. These precise measurements can only be obtained with motion capture body marks and a trained analyst. Our cycling analysts are also trained in Body Geometry Fit to bring you the best technology and knowledge possible. We carry and use Body Geometry products that are developed by leading experts in the fields of ergonomics and biomechanics. We use body geometry saddles, shoes and footbeds, all of which are proven to help you ride farther, faster, with more efficiency and comfort than your standard products.
The interview will allow the analyst to gather rider anthropometrics and useful information such as rider experience, injury history, expectations and goals. This will allow the fitter to evaluate the client’s flexibility and any issues with the client’s feet, knees, hips and back.
During the assessment, the analyst will use tools developed by Body Geometry and Purely Custom to find the best equipment that suits each client.
The analyst will first visually assess the rider on the bike and take initial measurements. Once the initial start has been noted, the proper adjustments will be made to determine the best and most efficient riding position. (During a video capture analysis, the fit technician will assess visually and with the video capture software).
Offered only at the Crazy Cat Cyclery Kern location, the fitter will analyze the client while riding with 3D motion capture. This method is the most precise and comprehensive and allows the client to see and better understand what is going on.
Follow-ups are a necessary part of the process, the fitter will ask the client to come back after a certain amount of miles have been obtained. This allows the fitter to see how the client’s body has adapted to the new position and also for the client’s feedback. The follow up is included with all three fits offered.
(Triathlon Fit will look at proper and efficient aero bar set up. The rider will also be asked to wear their race helmet so aerodynamics can be assessed as well as performance.)We offer fit sessions by appointment only. Contact us by phone or email to schedule your appointment.
