December Already! 2019 must have been a short year.

It is December, the winter lights are up at San Jacinto Plaza and we are in full holiday swing. We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far as we get set to say goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020.

There has been a lot going on with Crazy Cat Cyclery within the last couple of months, as some of you have noticed. We have had to adapt to the constantly changing retail environment (we’re looking at you Amazon.) Many of you have voiced your concerns with the state of our business. We greatly appreciate your thoughts and wanted to address it directly. As of October 31, 2019, we have downsized to one central location in the Kern area at 2800 N. Stanton. Both our Redd and Montana locations have permanently shut their doors.

Our Kern location, with your continued patronage, will remain open for the foreseeable future to serve the El Paso’s cycling community.

So as one year ends and a new begins, so does a new chapter for Crazy Cat Cyclery. We hope to see you in our store soon as we continue our journey as a locally owned, community bike shop.

Enough about us for now, we want to hear from you. Please share your own cycling story with us! Send us a story involving your hopes, dreams, struggles or other cycling experiences to with the subject, “My Cycling Story.” Our favorite submission will be featured on our website’s blog and receive a Crazy Cat Cyclery gift certificate. Pictures will help improve your chances of being selected!

From time to time, people ask us to share our mechanical expertise. Having us around to change a flat at the shop is a quick, stress-free way to get your bike rolling again. Unfortunately, punctures never happen at convenient times or places. Obtaining the knowledge to work on your own bike is not only handy, it can also be very satisfying. We are currently attempting to gauge interest in beginner level tech classes. Please email us at the link above if you are interested in learning how to work on your bike. We will be starting with roadside repairs.

Make sure to stop by our website for weekly specials. You might find just what you have been looking for at a discounted price.

Until next time, keep riding!
